The town or village itself is cozy and atmosferic with a weekly market at the town square. Besides from cafe's, restaurants and beautiful old buildings you will find a cinema and a few museums including the Museum of lithographic art.
If you visit Tidaholm with children, don't miss the Animal Garden; Atollen. In the garden you can meet ducks, hens, rabits, pigs, sheeps and goats located in a place of natural beauty near the river Tidan. |

Along the river Tidan you will find facilities for fly-fishing and the area "Lambevad Fen" is well known for its wealth of orchids.
Ekedalen Nature reserve has a Beech forest with a beautiful collection of beech. Hokensaas, 14 km south of Tidaholm, is mainly known as one of Sweden´s best sport fishing areas with several lakes stocked with rainbow and salmon trout. In the autumn there are plenty of blueberries, cowberrys and mushrooms. Nice walking-tracks/ski-tracks in the area. You can furthermore visit the Herb Garden at Turbinhouse Island with its mixture of medicinal plants and spices. |
